Terms and Conditions
General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Steinsee
Version: 13.10.2026
1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all orders placed via the Steinsee online shop.
Steinsee
Palacio Pichardo Boutique
Rue du Comte-Géraud 15
1213 Onex, Schweiz
(hereinafter referred to as «Steinsee», «we» or «us»).
By placing an order in the online shop, you accept these GTC in the version valid at the time of the order.
2. Offer and Products
The products and prices displayed in the online shop serve to provide information about our product range. The presentation of the products does not yet constitute a legally binding offer.
All product information is prepared with the greatest possible care. Obvious errors, mistakes or technical changes are reserved.
Colours and depictions may deviate slightly from the actual appearance of the products due to differing screen settings. Such minor, technically caused colour deviations do not, in principle, constitute a product defect.
2.1 Materials and Characteristics of Jewellery Items
Our jewellery items are, in principle, made of gold-plated or silver-plated materials. Unless expressly stated otherwise in the respective product description, they are not jewellery made of solid gold or solid silver.
The gold plating or silver plating consists of a thin layer of metal applied to a base material.
The plating may wear or change over time as a result of regular wear, friction, moisture, perspiration and contact with perfume, cosmetics or cleaning agents.
In order to extend the lifespan of the jewellery pieces, we recommend avoiding contact with water, perfume and chemical products as far as possible and storing the jewellery pieces in a dry place.
Changes typical of the material resulting from ordinary use do not automatically constitute a product defect. Statutory warranty rights in the case of goods that are actually defective remain reserved.
The specific material details in the respective product description are authoritative.
3. Ordering Process and Conclusion of Contract
The presentation of the products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather a non-binding invitation to place an order.
By clicking the button for a binding order, you submit a binding offer to purchase the products contained in the shopping basket.
After receipt of your order, you will receive an automatic order confirmation by e-mail. This confirmation merely documents the receipt of your order and does not yet constitute acceptance of the purchase offer.
The purchase contract is concluded only when we send you a shipping confirmation by e-mail or dispatch the goods.
We reserve the right to reject orders in whole or in part for objective reasons, in particular in the event of payment problems, supply shortages or a well-founded suspicion of misuse.
4. Prices and Shipping Costs
All prices are stated in Swiss francs (CHF).
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the prices stated include the applicable statutory value added tax (VAT).
Any shipping costs are shown separately during the ordering process before you place your binding order.
We reserve the right to adjust our prices at any time. For purchase contracts already concluded, the price agreed at the time of the order applies.
5. Delivery and International Shipping
Steinsee offers international shipping. We deliver to the countries and regions that are available as delivery destinations in the online shop during the ordering process.
Delivery is made to the delivery address specified by you.
5.1 Processing Time
The processing of your order generally takes 1 to 3 working days after receipt of the order or after successful payment confirmation.
During this time, your order is checked, prepared and made ready for shipping.
5.2 Delivery Time
The subsequent delivery time is generally 6 to 9 working days from dispatch of the order.
The total expected duration from order processing to delivery is therefore usually 7 to 12 working days.
For international shipments, the actual delivery times may vary depending on the destination country, shipping service provider, customs clearance or unforeseen circumstances.
The delivery times stated serve as a guideline and do not constitute guaranteed delivery dates. Mandatory statutory rights in the event of delivery delays remain reserved.
5.3 Shipping Costs and Customs Duties
Any shipping costs are shown transparently during the ordering process.
For international deliveries, additional customs duties, import charges or taxes may be incurred depending on the destination country.
Unless these costs are expressly included in the ordering process, they may be levied by the competent authorities or shipping service providers and are, in principle, to be borne by the recipient.
5.4 Partial Deliveries and Delivery Delays
Partial deliveries are possible, provided that they are reasonable for the customer. No additional shipping costs arise as a result.
In the event of significant delivery delays, you may contact our customer service at contact@steinsee.ch .
The transfer of benefit and risk is governed by the applicable statutory provisions.
6. Payment Methods
The available payment methods are displayed to you during the ordering process.
Depending on availability, the following payment methods in particular may be offered:
- Credit and debit cards
- TWINT
- Apple Pay
- PayPal
- Klarna
- Other payment methods displayed at checkout
Payment processing may be carried out via external payment service providers. Supplementary contractual and data protection provisions may apply to their services.
We reserve the right to restrict or exclude individual payment methods for objective reasons.
7. Retention of Title
The goods delivered remain the property of Steinsee until the purchase price has been paid in full, insofar as a corresponding retention of title can be validly agreed and established under the applicable statutory provisions.
In the event of default in payment, we reserve the right to take the measures provided for by law to enforce our claims.
8. Right of Return and Exchange
Steinsee in principle grants a voluntary right of return or exchange of 30 days from receipt of the goods, unless otherwise stated in the respective product description or in our Returns and Refund Policy.
8.1 Conditions for a Return
For a return, the following conditions must, in principle, be met:
- The goods are in an unworn, undamaged and as-new condition.
- Existing labels and original packaging are, where possible, fully intact.
- The return is registered within the stipulated period.
Certain products may be excluded from the voluntary right of return for objective or hygiene reasons, provided that this was indicated accordingly prior to purchase.
Special return conditions may apply to reduced items or special offers, provided that these were clearly communicated prior to the conclusion of the contract.
Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by such restrictions.
8.2 Return Procedure
If you wish to return or exchange an item, please contact our customer service at:
info@steeinsee.com
Please state your order number and the reason for your request.
After your request has been reviewed, you will receive the necessary information and, where applicable, the corresponding return address.
Important notice: The business address in Onex is not a return address. Please do not send any products to this address without prior return instructions.
The costs of a return are, in principle, borne by the customer, unless otherwise agreed or the return is made due to an error for which we are responsible or a justified product defect.
8.3 Refund
After receipt and inspection of the returned goods, any refund is, in principle, made via the payment method originally used.
The refund comprises the amount that is refundable in accordance with the agreed return conditions.
Further information can be found in our Returns and Refund Policy.
9. Defects and Warranty
We ask you to check the products delivered for completeness and recognisable defects upon receipt.
Obvious defects or incorrect deliveries should, where possible, be reported to us in writing within seven days of receipt of the goods.
For this purpose, please contact us at:
contact@steinsee.ch
Where possible, please state your order number and attach meaningful photos of the product complained about.
The statutory obligations to inspect and give notice of defects remain reserved.
In the case of justified notices of defects, the following solutions in particular may be offered, depending on the circumstances and the applicable statutory provisions:
- Replacement delivery of the same or an equivalent product
- Repair, insofar as technically and economically feasible
- Appropriate price reduction
- Refund of the purchase price
The specific handling is governed by the applicable statutory provisions and the respective circumstances.
With regard to jewellery items, it should be noted that gold plating and silver plating may change or wear over time as a result of ordinary use and external influences.
Such wear typical of the material does not automatically constitute a product defect. However, this does not apply to plating defects, defective workmanship or other defects already present at the time of delivery.
Further claims, in particular claims for damages, are excluded to the extent permitted by law.
10. Liability
Steinsee is liable within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions for damage caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct.
Liability for slight negligence, indirect damage, consequential damage or loss of profit is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain reserved.
We endeavour to make the online shop available reliably and securely at all times.
However, uninterrupted or completely error-free availability of the website cannot be guaranteed.
11. Data Protection
The protection of your personal data is important to us.
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the applicable data protection provisions.
Our Privacy Policy can be accessed in the online shop under the corresponding menu item.
12. Copyright
All content of our online shop, in particular texts, images, photographs, logos, graphics, layouts and designs, is protected by copyright or other protective rights, insofar as such rights exist.
Any reproduction, distribution, modification or other use of this content beyond the scope permitted by law requires the prior written consent of the respective rights holder.
13. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction
All legal relationships between Steinsee and the customer are governed by Swiss law, to the exclusion of the conflict-of-laws provisions and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), insofar as this choice of law is permitted by law.
Mandatory statutory consumer protection provisions remain reserved.
The place of jurisdiction is, to the extent permitted by law, Geneva, Switzerland.
Mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction remain reserved.
14. Amendments to the GTC
Steinsee reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions at any time.
The version published in the online shop at the time of the order shall be authoritative in each case.
For purchase contracts already concluded, the General Terms and Conditions agreed at the time of conclusion of the contract shall, in principle, apply.
